Vintage Indian States Book Journal | Handmade Upcycled Hardcover Notebook | One of a Kind
Description
A Little History, A Whole New Chapter
Some books are simply too beautiful to be forgotten.
This one-of-a-kind handmade journal began its life as The Indian States and Indian Federation by Sir Geoffrey de Montmorency, published by Cambridge University Press as part of its Current Problems series.
The original book explores the political history of India's princely states and the discussions surrounding Indian federation during British rule. Today, its beautiful teal-blue cloth cover has been given an entirely new purpose.
We've carefully transformed this vintage hardcover into a functional journal, preserving its original lettering, decorative borders, aged spine, and even the handwritten name of a former owner along the bottom of the cover. It's these little traces of the past that make vintage books so special.
Inside, you'll find fresh blank white paper, hand-bound with coordinating green thread. The interior has been finished with soft sage-green paper, beautiful textured gold accents, and an Art Nouveau-inspired Ex Libris bookplate featuring a woman reading among flowers.
The result is a journal that feels like something discovered in a wonderful old bookshop, but is ready for an entirely new collection of thoughts, stories, and memories.

Beautifully Imperfect
This journal was created from a genuine vintage book, and its age is part of its charm. You'll notice wear along the spine, corners, and edges, as well as the original handwritten ownership marking.
We intentionally leave these details untouched because they tell the story of where the book has been.
You will receive the exact journal pictured. There is only one, and once it's gone, we cannot make another exactly like it.
Perfect for journaling, creative writing, travel memories, everyday notes, or gifting to someone who appreciates old books, history, and beautiful handmade things.
Lovingly reimagined by Lekish Did It, where forgotten books find a new purpose.
