The Submarine Boys and the Middies Vintage Book Journal

A piece of vintage book history, transformed into a completely one of a kind handmade journal.

This journal was created from an original vintage copy of The Submarine Boys and the Middies by Victor G. Durham, part of the classic Submarine Boys series. The beautifully aged original book has been carefully taken apart and rebound with a sturdy metal spiral, combining pieces of the original book with fresh writing pages and handmade details.

What makes this journal especially wonderful is its age. The original pages have the warm coloring, wear, markings and imperfections that only come from a genuinely old book. We leave that history intact rather than trying to make the book look new.

Inside you’ll find a mix of blank writing and journaling pages, original vintage book pages, colorful divider pages and handmade pockets for holding notes, photographs, receipts, tickets, stickers and other little treasures. This journal also includes the fun sticky memo set shown in the photos.

Use it as a writing journal, junk journal, scrapbook, memory book, travel journal, creative notebook or keepsake journal. It also makes an unusual gift for a vintage book collector, reader, writer, history lover or anyone who loves old books.

Because we make our journals from actual vintage books, this is not a reproduction or a mass produced notebook. The age, wear and imperfections of the original book are part of its story and make this piece completely unique.

You are purchasing the exact journal shown in the photographs. There is only one. Once it sells, this exact journal is gone.
